Secure Logic construct their safes for safety and security and they realized the need for a handgun security device after a close family member of Ray Engel was burglarized and had his gun stolen, while his wife and children slept! Shaken, the victim realized the danger that he and his family had been in. The man vowed that he would find the best way to keep his firearms and family safe, and Engel made it his mission to develop the best.
Secure Logic products are focused around hand gun security, but the security that their safes bring can make you feel comfortable placing any valuables inside. The Wall Vault™ was in development for over two years before it met Secure Logic’s standards of excellence. Each one is extensively tested for quality and craftsmanship. Secure Logic takes pride in the products that they pass along to you. More on Secure Logic...

Comments about Secure Logic Mail Vault:
The mail vault is great! The design is very well engineered. I buried all but the vault door and the inch or so of the mail slot in a concrete block and stuccoed mail box structure. I looks and works great and it's not going anywhere. I was very surprised I could get this quality for the price point!

Comments about Secure Logic Mail Vault:
We decided to purchase this mailbox once it came to our attention that someone locally had stolen our identity and in fact had waited in our driveway for the mail. I had done quite a bit of research, and concluded that this was by far the best... and I have not been disappointed.
The mailbox is very easy to put together and install. It didn't take hardly anytime at all. Our only problem with the installation was that we wanted to use a plaque to put the numbers on the post. Obviously, you can't put it on top of the mailbox so we had to put it on the post. Word of warning... DO THIS BEFORE YOU PUT THE POST TOGETHER. It will be MUCH easier. This problem really has little to do with the mailbox. It mainly has to do with the installers not thinking it out ( basically...me :D)
Pros:
* VERY secure. It really is a safe that holds your mail. I don't see how it would be possible for anybody to get to it.
* It holds a lot of mail. I mean A LOT of mail.
* Very easy to install.
* Looks good. It may look a little weird at first, but it grows on you. It definitely looks better than the Rubbermaid mailboxes.
* You would have to forget the combination and lose the key to get locked out of it. You don't need both to unlock it, but you do have the option of either one.
CONS:
* If it rains really hard and you have mail WAITING, it will possibly get wet. Also, if you have mail in the box to be sent out, and the mailman gets it out but doesn't shut the door, water can seep in the main compartment (not bad at all, but it does nonetheless.) I have only noticed water in the main compartment if the mailman doesn't shut the front door.
* Rust. Like another reviewer said, there is a little rust that quickly started forming after the first couple of rains. This rust, however, is only on the front door hinges and not on the unit itself. I was very frustrated at first, but after a month or so, it hasn't gotten any worse. I think it is just the pin in the hinge that has the rust.
* There is a red light so you can see the mail. Handy, but it really doesn't illuminate much. This isn't because it is dull, but rather the light is misdirected and is illuminating the side of the mailbox and not toward the back. It is helpful, but not as helpful as they had intended.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to a friend. It is cheaper in the long run to have this than to have a PO Box. I still compare it to other security mailboxes when I shop and this really is HANDS DOWN the best. I haven't seen any that come close. The concerns I have really aren't that bad (they may seem to be on the face). Wet mail wouldn't be a problem if the mailman would shut the door every time and the rust is not affecting the performance of the box whatsoever.

Comments about Secure Logic Mail Vault:
Make the hinge of a material that isn't going to rust after only 2 days exposed to the elements.
