This trash can is a nice clean design, but its hard to fit everything in the small space provided for a kitchen-residence- especially if you want to wipe off a plate into the trash can- the lid while sturdy and nice, flips back on you and causes you to spill food or whatever you are trying to swipe in there on the floor. You cannot take off the dome lid which it appears you might be able to in the images online. You have to take the entire trash can and slip the liner out -- a bit hard for a dinner plate! however, I really like the look and options in this price range are really limited out there, so I still suggest this can.. just takes a bit to get used to.

All aspects of this can are very good except the sharp edge on the base ring. I have Brazilian tile in our kitchen and I had to put rubber pieces on the bottom to protect our floor.
